Bek’s are delighted to announce Dean Haynes from CGOL Restaurants Limited as their first ever franchisee.
Having recently joined Skye has excelled at a rapid pace whilst supporting and training her own mother in the process.. Skye stated
I've found working at Bek's very beneficial in more ways then one. I enjoy the family atmosphere and how we all get along so well. I love the fact I get to work with my mom as we are a great team. Bek's is a unique workplace that allows me to save for my future, supporting me financially and fund my passions. I am also working with the business to develop my passion for social media
Elizabeth (Skye’s Mother) also commented on her time with the company
I’ve joined a big family of hardworking individuals and feel very valued by the management. I enjoy that it’s fast paced and we all help each other in many ways. Working with my daughter Skyé is something I’m proud of as she was a massive part of my onboarding journey. Working at Bek’s is not just like working for any chippy or takeaway, it’s unique in many ways.
Family, Community, Local 🌈
Since joining straight from leaving school here’s what Ryan had to say.. 🔊
“I first came into Bek’s just generally seeking work, the business has allowed me to develop my skill set as well as just acquiring basic communication, customer service and life skills. The business has also been supporting me financially with driving lessons, saving for a car and now to eventually buy my own home 🏠
The food industry and especially Bek’s in particular is a great place for young people or anyone looking for work and we have a really great staff retention rate in comparison to the industry, we’re really proud to give local people a chance within our community and all of our staff are based within 2 miles from the site, it’s a real success story.
Since joining I have supported and implemented health and safety/food management systems, dealt with HR, finance and even started to be upskilled in reporting. The business has given me all the tools I need.
On top of this we have created one of the highest rated single site takeaway outlets in the country and I feel a massive part of that as I had my input on the operational aspect.
I am also supporting Bek with the onboarding of our new franchisees into the Bek’s family, which should come to fruition in the near future”
We recently caught up with Ellie Bray (pictured left) and Jessica Lander (pictured right) to discus how their two years have flown by at Bek’s 💬 Ellie had stated:
Working at Bek’s has helped me grow as a person. When I started out I was an anxious introvert who wouldn’t say a word, now two years later, I have been given opportunities to express my opinions, help build our delivery team and have recently found the confidence to work on my customer service skills which is something I couldn’t imagine doing when I first started. Bek’s is an extended family in my eyes, who have supported me and changed my life, Bek’s are also supporting me with my university degree financially and mentally.
Jessica had this to say
“I’ve found working at Bek’s an enjoyable experience, it has really brought the confidence out in myself and my abilities. I have learnt many transferable skills along the way. I really enjoy our working environment, I always try to bring the best version of myself on every shift as that’s the standards we all set. I’ve made some friends for life but now in Ellie I also have a best friend. She’s helped me with personal growth and we always have a laugh in the workplace as with many others even though we sustain a lot of pressure, it’s a really vibrant workplace.”
Both Ellie and Jess have been influential with the growth within our business and especially how much they have contributed in making us one of the most successful single site delivery businesses within the UK.
